1 Setting Up Your Profile
Basic Profile Information

Display Name

Your display name appears throughout the platform when you interact with others. Choose something that represents you but maintains your privacy.

Profile Picture

Add a profile picture to personalize your account. Supported formats: JPG, PNG, GIF (max 2MB).

Bio & Interests

Share a bit about your viewing preferences, favorite genres, or what you're currently watching.

Profile Visibility Tips

  • • Use privacy settings to control who can see your profile information
  • • Consider using a nickname rather than your real name
  • • Profile pictures are visible to all users by default
2 Account Security & Authentication
Password Management

Strong Password Requirements

  • • Minimum 8 characters long
  • • Include uppercase and lowercase letters
  • • Use numbers and special characters
  • • Avoid common words or personal information

Changing Your Password

  1. 1. Go to Settings → Account → Security
  2. 2. Click "Change Password"
  3. 3. Enter your current password
  4. 4. Enter and confirm your new password
  5. 5. Click "Update Password"
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Add an extra layer of security to your account by enabling two-factor authentication.

Setting Up 2FA

  1. 1. Install an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.)
  2. 2. Go to Settings → Account → Security
  3. 3. Click "Enable Two-Factor Authentication"
  4. 4. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app
  5. 5. Enter the verification code to confirm
  6. 6. Save your backup codes in a secure location
Security Recommendation: Enable two-factor authentication for the best account protection. Keep your backup codes safe!
3 Privacy Settings & Data Controls
Profile Privacy

Who Can See Your Profile

  • Public: Anyone can view your profile and activity
  • Friends Only: Only accepted friends can see your profile
  • Private: Profile is hidden from all other users

Activity Visibility

Control whether others can see what you're watching, your reviews, and your ratings.

Data Management

Download Your Data

Export all your data including your watch history, reviews, and account information.

Go to Settings → Privacy → Download Data to request an export.

Delete Your Account

Permanently delete your account and all associated data.

Warning: This action cannot be undone. All your data will be permanently deleted.

5 Troubleshooting Account Issues
Common Account Problems
I can't sign in to my account
  1. 1. Double-check your email address and password
  2. 2. Try resetting your password using "Forgot Password"
  3. 3. Check if your account is locked due to multiple failed attempts
  4. 4. Clear your browser cache and cookies
  5. 5. Try signing in from a different browser or device
I'm not receiving verification emails
  1. 1. Check your spam/junk folder
  2. 2. Add our email address to your contacts
  3. 3. Wait a few minutes and try requesting another email
  4. 4. Check if your email provider has blocking rules
  5. 5. Contact support if the issue persists
My profile changes aren't saving
  1. 1. Ensure you're clicking "Save" after making changes
  2. 2. Check your internet connection
  3. 3. Try refreshing the page and making changes again
  4. 4. Clear your browser cache
  5. 5. Make sure uploaded images meet size requirements
Two-factor authentication isn't working
  1. 1. Check if your device's time is synchronized
  2. 2. Try generating a new code in your authenticator app
  3. 3. Use one of your backup codes if available
  4. 4. Re-scan the QR code to set up 2FA again
  5. 5. Contact support to temporarily disable 2FA
